Edgars has welcomed a range of exclusive beauty products, comprising skin care, make-up and fragrance.
On Friday, Edgars hosted an intimate beauty session at the Circa Gallery, in Rosebank. It was to welcome several exclusive products the department store has added onto its covetable list of cosmetics.
Danish brand, GOSH Cosmetics, known for its innovative products that are mostly free of perfumes and parabens, is available in South Africa, amongst other brands. GOSH laid out its summer make-up selection in vivid fuchsia, coral and metallic. It featured lip colour, nail polish and many more essential make-up products, even the famed BB cream - an all-in-one product combining foundation, primer and moisturiser- with its blemish concealing and lightening elements.
Hailing from the Netherlands is Greenland – a product range centred on natural ingredients like fruit extracts, essential oils, milks and butters. Lotions, balms and scrubs are its speciality. Its most favoured products are the delectable lip balm and body butter in mango, papaya and pomegranate.
Kings & Queens was notable for its affordable bath and body products. The Greek brand believes in everyday royalty, hence its luxurious range featuring blue Egyptian Lotus and malachite extracts. Aptly named, the Sultan of Granada body butter is a skin-enriching buy.
Korres is another Greek brand; offering skin care, make-up and sun care, for both men and women. Established by pharmacist, George Korres in 1996, its ingredients are organic and naturally derived, even in its make-up line. The Wild Rose 24-hour Brightening Moisturiser is said to be its ‘hero’ product, suited for all skin types, particularly those prone to pigmentation.
Former fashion editor, Thea Green from London, left her day job and established Nails Inc. The nail polish range draws inspiration from the catwalk. It luxuriously translates fashion looks into nail polish, and includes a forest green hue as seen from designers Victoria Beckham and Marc Jacobs, as well as the denim and leather line with embellishment options.
American sisters, Liz and Rachel Edlich of Radical Skincare created a product charged with anti-ageing ingredients. The Peptide-Infused Antioxident Serum is the brand’s iconic product that aims to prevent, repair and soothe the skin. It is noted as the best solution for ageing.
Another skincare solution is Sampar. Developed in Paris, the brand introduced ‘intelligent’ products that combat and protect the skin from environmental factors and promise to support a natural healing action. One of its standout products is Glamour Shot – a transparent foundation for all skin types – which helps erase imperfections and illuminates the skin, also plumping lines and wrinkles.
An added exclusive are the fragrances, inspired by two television series - the fashion-forward Gossip Girl, and 24.
